"It is amazing how powerless I feel in a society that is supposed to empower the individual. I/We can not stop the War in Iraq because the Republicans won’t let us. It is thoroughly authoritarian and truly despicable. Yet the conundrum of the GOP seems incalculable to Democrats. News Flash: That a cabal of enablers can find a Monkey to do their bidding / be their martyr is a GIVEN. It is not surprising that so many ‘independents’ fell for it. What is surprising is how many of them seem to keep falling for it. It is terrifying. It is baffling. It is so, so sad. It is not liberty. It is not justice. It is not natural. It is embarrassing. They disrespect the sanctity of my values. They disrespect my land my water and my air. They have no respect for privacy. They have no respect for Taxes, the Scientific Method or Alternative Fuel. They don’t respect the US, even as they run it. They respect War yet surprisingly few serve. Republican ideology is a Joke, their world view Simpleton. That is, not surprisingly, just how Big(Oil/Parma/Agra/Edu) likes it. Well that’s what we got. I’ve had enough. I’m Boycotting these guys. It’s not much but it’s what I got. Remember the Boston Tea Party? It’s called the World Oil Party! and Everyone’s invited. Take the bus, ride your bike, hop a train, switch to CFL or LED’s, shop at the Farmers Market. It’s time. I’m talking to you. Do it."
